Don’t forget to read BOTH sides of your bill or you might miss important information!
Your monthly water bill includes some useful information. In addition to showing the current meter reading and previous reading at the same time last year, your consumption in hundreds of cubic feet (hcf) is also listed. The previous year's consumption is provided to help you compare water usage from year to year.
A monthly service charge, determined by the meter size, is applied to each active account. Consumption charges are based on the amount of water delivered through the meter at your premises. Charges are computed by hcf units, a standard measure for water; usage, which is equal to 748 gallons.
District customers with installed fire sprinkler systems receive a separate monthly billing for the fire meter. This fee is also based on the size of the meter.
